is it sign of pure “unpatriotic” behaviour?
Are there others?
Are they all nutters like those below, who use children to convey a hate message?
How do you understand the words of Rev Wright? Perhaps he was offering a wake up call!

There is a lot of things that can be said in regards to what the Democratic Party Presidential primary process is all about, but one thing it’s not is democratic! The whole institution of the Super Delegates was created by the Party, to prevent those possible contenders who are populists (or who like Obama campaign on a populist platform), from obtain the nomination (see here for details). Ferraro intention was not to make a “racist” comment as such, but a calculated, strategic move (by the Clinton campaign) to explain (complain) why the populist sounding Obama was still in contention. The truth is if he was white, “he would not be in this position” to win the Democratic Presidential nomination because the Party establishment would have shut him down long ago! (I am not too sure about her view that if he was a Black “female” candidate who was doing just as well, that “he would not be in this position”. Hillary and the Democratic Party establishment would then have to contend with both race and gender, a much taller order to try to defeat. But I digress).
I am reminded of another preacher, by the name of Jesus, cursing an unproductive fig tree. ” Hilary never had a cab whizz past her and not pick her up, because her skin was the wrong colour”
Some people in America, have got their knickers in a twist, over a preacher who has been doing the same thing for the last, I don’t know, bloody long time. And now, their hissing over some guy they keep calling, Hussein.
All because they can associate/introduce some hate into the otherwise charismatic front runner
He has to distance himself from what is essentially the motto of the church “Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian”.
Some want to jump on the racist bandwagon.
Only the oppressed can resonate with Liberation Theology or Black Theology which is a form of “Christian Socialism” too close to the memory of McCarthyism.
So, you might not agree with Afrocentric rhetoric, neither would you probably with Wahadi-ism, nor with the manner of black preacher delivery, style or terminology.
The offence it would appear is that ex-pastor Jeremiah Wright, committed a crime by his parody on God Bless America, into God Da** America.
Was he completely off his rocker to use offensive terminology?
I can accept from a UK perspective that a nation where patriotism has a higher expectation will undoubtedly be offended. In a way, perhaps, that is exactly what the preacher wanted to do.
To awaken the nation into taking a good look at itself and it’s history.
It would be prudent to leave this subject to the Americans and here is one doing just that and does Pastor Wright preach Black Supremacy some obviously think so.
For us as observers, the importance of this election is relevant, especially as the UK Conservative Party appears to be growing in popularity and if the people of USA elect either Clinton or McCain, then we are in for the next world war.
I am reminded of another preacher by the name of Jesus cursing an unproductive fig tree, as recorded in Matthew ch 11: versus 12-21.
12The next day as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry.
13Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs.
14Then he said to the tree, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And his disciples heard him say it.
15On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple area and began driving out those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves,
16and would not allow anyone to carry merchandise through the temple courts.
17And as he taught them, he said, “Is it not written:
” ‘My house will be called
a house of prayer for all nations’[c]? But you have made it ‘a den of robbers.’[d]“18The chief priests and the teachers of the law heard this and began looking for a way to kill him, for they feared him, because the whole crowd was amazed at his teaching.
19When evening came, they[e] went out of the city.
The Withered Fig Tree20In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots.
21Peter remembered and said to Jesus, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!”
If you can explain Jesus’ words, then perhaps you can do the same with Wright. Pastor Wright is the only person who knows why he felt the need to be offensive
Is he saying that what he calls home, is a nation that is :
“without substance, full of hypocrisy, bearing no spiritual fruit, ripe for judgment” Read here
