I read Naomi Klein’s book ‘Shock Doctrine’ whilst on holiday and part of the book is her carefully researched narrative of what happened in Iraq. I looked up this article by her from 2004 where she explains what it was really about and why it went wrong. It is a version of the story I have never come across in the UK at all, yet to my mind it hangs together far better than the ‘official’ versions of events do.
