Fragile Expendable Enemy of?

Who will protect the innocent, the next generation?

Our silence can only mean our complicity, our complacency, our collusion, our conniving, our conspiracy and our ultimate doom. Because within each human heart beats a rhythmic beat of conscience and each human has the choice to follow or ignore.
If you choose to ignore that inner voice and the silent scream, a lens will cloud your perception, where all you will see is other humans as the rabid enemy.

Once that happens, we have lost our humanity

The massacres in Gaza are the latest phase of a war that Israel has been waging against the people of Palestine for more than 60 years. The goal of this war has never changed: to use overwhelming military power to eradicate the Palestinians as a political force, one capable of resisting Israel’s ongoing appropriation of their land and resources.

1st rule De-humanize.

Kent police has sparked outrage among free speech advocates after arresting a man for posting a picture of a burning poppy on Remembrance Sunday.
The arrest is the latest example of the police’s heavy-handed approach to social networking, and comes as the Crown Prosecution Service is contemplating guidelines on how to apply rules on what can and can’t be said without risking arrest.
What was the point of winning either World War if, in 2012, someone can be casually arrested by @kent_police for burning a poppy?
“A man from Aylesham has tonight been arrested on suspicion of malicious telecommunications,” Kent police said in a statement after the arrest. “This follows a posting on a social network site of a burning poppy. He is currently in police custody awaiting interview.”

Poppy burning or how about

The author of this grim face-book message obviously cannot spell. Perhaps it’s the lack of education that causes people to attune themselves to extreme right wing causes. Immigration is a thorny issue especially the illegal variety. But have we lost our humanity?

A member of Muslims Against Crusades (MAC), was guilty of a “calculated and deliberate” insult to the dead and those who mourn them when he burned two large plastic poppies during a two-minute silence, according to the district judge in the case.

PESHAWAR, Pakistan — Authorities in Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province have decided to rename a college after teenage activist Malala Yousafzai, who was shot and seriously wounded by the Taliban last week.

The decision to rename the Government Girls Degree College Saidu Sharif in the town of Mingora in Yousafzai’s native Swat Valley was made at a meeting earlier this week, in recognition of her efforts to promote girls’ education rights in the volatile region.

She was shot in the head last week by the Pakistani Taliban. She is currently receiving medical treatment in Britain.

International Day

By Oscar Rickett, John Klingler [came across in vice]

“My American friend John and I like nothing more than to enlighten each other on our respective country’s ways. He explained American Football to me, I explained real Football to him and then we talked TV. What’s normal to him seems amazing to me and vice versa; we’re basically those really funny and profound people you hear in pubs loudly bonding over the different meanings of the word “pants”.

Limey Oscar says: The UK is no longer a superpower and feels insecure about its place in the world. This being the case, it’s important that our politicians tell us about how they’re going to make Britain a big deal internationally. It doesn’t seem like American politicians struggle with this problem. Or is all the “Chinese century” talk starting to get to them? I imagine that, if foreign policy comes up, it is limited to the fate of “our servicemen overseas” and doesn’t take in the kind of thing leftist surrender monkey Europeans care about (drone strikes; illegal wars; propping up bad regimes etc.).

Yankee John replies: Oscar, America is the greatest country that ever existed, a shining beacon of everything true and good in the human spirit. We invented democracy, optimism and inventiveness itself. Anyone who disagrees is a neo-Marxist, Nazi socialist. We can barely stand it if you forget your flag pin. We do not mention that we have 25% of the world’s prison population, or that 1 in 5 children live below the poverty line, or that the Iraqi War has caused over 100,000 deaths. If we do not talk about these things, then they do not exist, and we needn’t worry about them.
